Aug.9-12 has been a bummer to all of the Pirates' fans! The pirates where swept by the Colorado Rockies. Pitching the first 3 innings of game one was Francisco Liriano. He gave up 9 points to lead the pirates to a 1-10 loss. Making a suprising appearance, Josh Harrison pitched for his first time ever for the Pittsburgh pirates.
The secound game was also another loss for the pirates. The final score was 4-6. A.J. Burnette pitched a good game but unfortunately the Rockies scored more than the Pirates leaving Pirates' fans frustrated.
Last but not least the 3rd game was a 2-3 loss against the pirates. Locke had a good start but by the 6th inning it was a tie. It's the seventh inning and its looking good for the pirates but then Arenado doubles far out to deep right bringing Rosario home for a 2-3 loss.
Although we were swept by the Rockies, we still lead the National League Central division with 70 wins and 47 losses.
